Hudson Guild provides a broad array of mental health prevention and intervention services, in our own facilities and out in the community.
The Clinic provides a range of mental health treatment services at our New York State Office of Mental Health-licensed clinic. When appropriate, we also provide psychiatric evaluations to patients receiving therapy in our clinic. Hudson Guild accepts Medicaid and most insurance plans.
Clinton Housing Development Company (CDHC) was founded in 1973 to preserve and provide affordable housing to low income and homeless individuals living in the Hell’s Kitchen/Clinton neighborhood. Since 2004, Hudson Guild has collaborated with CDHC to provide a broad range of case management, recreational, and supportive social services for low income and formerly homeless individuals.
Hudson Guild and CDHC work collaboratively to empower tenants to make the transition from living in a shelter to independent supportive housing. Our collaboration with CDHC aims to improve tenants’ quality of life through safe and supportive housing and offers activities to build and foster community engagement. Our activities include: Hudson Guild’s Performing ArtWorks Summer Concert Series.
We partner with NYC schools to work on-site and assist students who confront a host of complex traumas. This social worker helps youth deal with challenging family and interpersonal relationships, significant family and caregiver disruption, behavioral responses and community and family violence leading to emotional trauma.
Two full-time Social Workers assist students at The William McKinley School (PS 63) and The Neighborhood School (PS 363). Working alongside schools staff, the on-site therapist develops relationships with students, families and staff, and then provides individual counseling to children in the school who experience a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. The on-site professional therapy allows children to make progress on the goals, provides support to families and allows the school to function more efficiently and effectively.
